CinemaCon gives a lot of itself. In this case, news from the series and movie premieres confirmed what had already been rumored. Matt Reeves’ The Batman will have a sequel that will feature the same director and, of course, Robert Pattinson as the hero of Gotham.

One that will continue the story of the early years of Batman and in which we will surely see more of Enigma, the villain from the first film. Announcement about Batman 2, although confirmed, is in a preliminary phase. While Reeves is in collaboration with the Capes Crusader, they are ready to start writing the script of the film, nothing is decided yet. And the truth is that there were doubts about the success of Batman Reeves. On the one hand, he came out of one of the golden stages of the character. With the exception of Ben Affleck as Zack Snyder’s Batman, Christopher Nolan created one of the best versions of the DC character with Christian Bale. Reeves had to compete with this sophisticated adult version of Batman. To do this, he chose a story with gloomy overtones, which presents the first steps of the hero. Still definitely a bit harsh, still not finding his true role and position in Gotham City.
I would do it hand in hand with Robert Pattinson. An actor who, although he chose good titles for his own films, it was still too connected to the twilight universe and romantic vampires. Both Reeves and Pattinson achieved their goal of creating a hit for DC with Batman.
With no date, script, or plot for Batman 2, they say they still want to enjoy the success of the first installment. But presumably we’ll have to wait at least a couple of years to find out how the character’s story will continue.
