Well-known YouTuber and retro game expert Adam Koralık revealed this information in his new video.
In her new video, the blogger talked about her experience with SEGA during Shenmue’s re-release.
He claims that when discussing digital re-releases of games for the Dreamcast, instead of releasing them on a mini version of the console, the company expressed concerns about the high cost of such a device.
SEGA claimed it would cost around $300 if they released it as a game console. And all this because of the need to use real equipment. Such a price is unacceptable for consumers who expect a price of around $100.
Notice that the fears are justified. So, the console of the current generation Xbox Series S retails for just $300.
