A trailer posted online served as an announcement for the release of Return to Monkey Islandthe new chapter of the video game saga, created by Devolver Digital And Lucasfilm games The film also specifies the title’s release period, which will be 2022.

No further details were given and even the video is just a brief introduction to the title. We do know, however, that Return to Monkey Island was created by Terrible Toybox, who is said to be the working group of Ron Gilbert, the original creator of the saga, and that the project also includes the collaboration of Dave Grossman, the co-writer of the legend.
As early as April 1, Ron Gilbert had announced Monkey Island’s return, but many fans had interpreted the news as an April Fool’s Day joke. Return to Monkey Island is the sequel to Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.
In general, the entire video game saga, which started in 1990, consists of five chapters: The Secret of Monkey Island (1990), Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge (1991), The Curse of Monkey Island (1997), Escape from Monkey Island (2000), Tales of Monkey Island (2009).
