The logistics operator CDEK has opened a logistics center in Shanghai. The decision was influenced by the growing volume of business between Russia and China, the company said.

CDEK inaugurated a logistics center in Shanghai

“The decision to open a warehouse in China was made [в том числе] based <...> numerous requests from CDEK customers who buy products in China and sell them in Russia and the CIS countries,” the company’s press service told the TASS agency.

This step, noted in CDEK, will help companies to buy products in China more easily and efficiently in order to sell them both in the Russian Federation and in other countries.

The company’s partners are the Chinese operators SF Express and Deppon.

At the same time, the center will have some restrictions on its work. Delivery from special economic zones (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) is already an import. Therefore, the operator does not work with these territories.

In addition, CDEK is limited in supplying certain categories of goods to the Russian Federation, for example, dietary supplements and pharmacological products. This is due to the specifics of customs clearance.
