WhatsApp launched this Wednesday (31) Global Security Center, a page that collects information for people to protect themselves against spam and fraud. The site centralizes the main security options for application users.

The innovation brings together and explains in two steps the features and technologies available in the service, such as Confirmation to prevent account theft. Those who access the site can still check how it works:

  • end-to-end encryption;
  • secret conversations;
  • Temporary messages;
  • How to avoid fake app versions?

protect privacy

Global Security Center even has tips for users to ensure privacy on WhatsApp. The area explains how the “last seen and online” options work, for example, options to determine who can control your activity.

To avoid exposure, the site also explains in detail how single-view photos and videos work, private exits from groups, options for who can see your profile picture and status, and unlocking with facial recognition or fingerprint.
