Renaissance Insurance company faced the attack of experienced hackers for the first time. The company’s website and eOSAGO division were hacked. The organization ensures that customer data, including passwords, payment and passport data, does not fall into the hands of intruders. The percentage of customers likely affected by the issue is no more than 2%.
However, on June 2, a message appeared on the Telegram channel “Information Leaks” stating that data from Rönesans Insurance customers were “leaked”. 737.7 thousand lines of information were disclosed, including 633 thousand unique email addresses, 315 thousand phone numbers and encrypted passwords.
The company encourages its customers not to change the passwords of their personal accounts unless they are compromised. However, the situation requires attention and may cause concern among users as information about customers enters the public domain.
