Apple is holding its traditional WWDC 2023 developer conference. It’s expected to showcase the company’s highest-profile new product in the past decade: a mixed-reality headset. What was shown and what was said at the conference, in our material.

Vision Pro Mixed Reality Headset

The device combines AR and VR. In augmented reality mode, the user’s eyes with a headset will be visible, in virtual reality they are hidden. You can control the headphones with a voice, hands or eye assistant.

There are many apps available on the headset, such as Contacts, Maps, Music. You can display multiple apps on the screen at the same time. You can connect your Mac to the headset wirelessly.

Headphones can scale the screen to watch movies and turn it into “cinema”. The device supports 3D viewing function. You can also take space photos or videos from the headset – the shoot button is located on the top of the device.

The entire front of the headphones is glass. There is a strap that is adjustable in size and is available in multiple colors.

The battery of the device will be independent so as not to wear it on the head together with the headset. Two built-in speakers will provide high-quality spatial sound, emphasized in the presentation. Helmet displays support 4K resolution.

The advertised price of the device is $3,499. Sales will begin in the US in early 2024.

Apple has introduced a new 15-inch MacBook. MacBook Air has an M2 chip and 2TB of onboard storage with a maximum of 24GB of RAM. The price of new items – $ 1299, sales in the US will begin in mid-June.

The new block is equipped with an M2 processor and a new M2 Ultra chip. According to Apple, it is 20% more powerful than its predecessor, the M1 Ultra. M2 Ultra has 24 cores and consists of 134 billion transistors. Pricing for new items starts at $1999.

Mac Pro

The computer is also equipped with the advanced M2 Ultra chip. Apple has announced a price of $6999, sales will start next week, pre-order is already available.

iOS 17 update

Apple has made changes to some user features of the operating system: it updated the Phone app, introduced Live Voicemail, an audio-to-text translator during a call, added search filters to iMessage, finalized stickers, and keyboard options.

The command to call the voice assistant has been shortened. “Hey Siri” has been replaced with “Siri.”

iPad OS 17

The Health app will appear in the operating system – the data will be synced with other Apple devices. Now the operating system can be configured as flexibly as iOS 17. Support for editable PDF files has been added to Notes.

macOS 14 Sonoma

A Mac device running Sonoma OS will support widgets from other devices, you can place them on your desktop. In addition, Sonoma will have a game mode – when it is turned on, performance in games will increase, fewer resources will be spent on other tasks.

Update AirPods

The headphones can be switched to adaptive sound mode with automatic noise reduction adjustment based on the environment. The adaptive mode will be controlled by neural networks that learn from the habits of users.

Look OS 10

Various watch faces and quick access to widgets will be added to the operating system. The cycling app will be improved, giving users the ability to get additional training information from their iPhone.
