48% of Russian workers feel sleep deprived four days a week. As a result, due to the inefficiency of such employees, employers overpay approximately 3.5 trillion rubles a year. This is stated by a study by the NAF Analytical Center, the results of which were reviewed by RBC.
Overpayments from inefficient sleeping employees average 291 billion rubles a month, or 3.5 trillion rubles a year across Russia. According to analysts, the monthly overpayment amount is almost 100 billion rubles higher than in 2019.
The specialists of the center correlated the number of all working citizens – approximately 72 million – the percentage of people with a lack of sleep and the average level of salaries in the country. As a result, approximately 30% of Russians reported that their work efficiency is reduced by 51-57% due to lack of sleep.
Most often, citizens aged 35-44 suffer from lack of sleep. Women complain more about lack of sleep: 58%. Among the reasons for lack of sleep are nightlife (43%), health problems (31%) and the need to work or study overtime (30%).
