75% of Russians have a negative attitude towards ChatGPT and Midjourney. The top 3 negatives right now are paid subscriptions, access issues, and imperfect results. This is stated by a study by the Media Research Famil agency, the results of which were reviewed by RB.RU.

75% of Russians have a negative attitude towards neural networks

Only 25% write about neural networks in a positive way. At the same time, when talking about the prospects for the use of neural networks, users from Russia often write about positive expectations rather than fear of negative consequences of further development of artificial intelligence.

Positive feedback is based on news about the functions and capabilities of neural networks, as well as impressive generations and messages about the prospects for the development and use of AI.

According to analysts, Russians are more likely to expect positive consequences from the use of neural networks. Reports about the dangers of use are less common than laments about access problems.

The study was carried out between January and May 2023. For this, more than 650,000 messages on social networks, instant messaging, blogs and forums were analyzed.
