Cohere develops technologies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The company was founded in 2019.

With the new round, the company’s total investment reached approximately $445 million, Martin Kohn, Cohere’s president and chief operating officer, told Bloomberg.

  • In April 2019, ChatGPT developer OpenAI raised over $300 million in investment from Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Thrive, K2 Global and others at a valuation of $27-29 billion.
