At the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, an innovative “two-story” aircraft seat design from designer Alexander Nunez Vincente was presented. In it, rows of seats are placed one above the other in a checkerboard pattern, which allows you to link more seats in the same space. The idea is far from new and the airline has been dreaming of bringing it to life for a long time, but this is still impossible for a number of reasons.
The rules of civil aviation do not say anything about the comfort of passengers, but there are very strict safety requirements. If there is something above the person’s head in the seat, they can process the impact of hitting the turbulence detection and get a serious injury. If the seats are too tight, it is difficult to bend over and assume a safe position. Finally, the standard for evacuation from explicit in 90 seconds in the case of bunk seats can only reach trained athletics, but not the average person.

The main trouble of air carriers is that they excelled within the limits of standard passenger seats, not at the moment people have become taller, fatter and less physically developed from the processing of this device. The financial benefit from increasing the number of people per flight comes down to consumption, and the loyalty of travelers to a certain air carrier becomes only below.
