Tinkoff announced the launch of the Central University, a private educational institution based on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) model, the company’s press service reported.
In the first stage, the university will specialize in mathematics and computer science. Upon graduation, students will receive a state diploma.
The STEM model that the university will follow is to combine science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The project was created “in the interest of the country and the IT sector,” the report says.
The undergraduate program will start in September 2024, the first admission will include 500 students and 55 professors.
Tinkoff already has his own departments at the Higher School of Economics of the National Research University and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and about 40 more educational projects, from IT courses to programming seminars, are working at universities like Moscow State University, Moscow State. Technical University. Bauman, ITMO, St. Petersburg State University, UrFU.
In 2022, Tinkoff also launched a scholarship program for talented students, the fund of which amounted to 60 million rubles.
