Apple has publicly opposed a new Internet security review that has been submitted for consideration in the UK.

According to it, messaging services, including iMessage, will be required to scan their content for CSAM (child sexual abuse abuse). The Cupertinos say that disclosing end-to-end closures would expose sensitive data and could expose users to additional danger.

Apple called encryption “a critical capability that includes the privacy of journalists, human rights activists and diplomats.” The UK Growth Agenda in the proposed collection is not placed under end-to-end encryption.

Earlier, Apple announced a criminal case against CSAM in iCloud Photos. The company’s specialists will contact law enforcement officers and provide them with relevant information. True, for some reason, everything did not start. [9to5]
