San Francisco-based AI startup Reka AI has raised $58 million from DST Global, Radical Ventures and Yuri Milner’s Snowflake Ventures. Funding for Series A ended on June 27, 2023. This follows from Crunchbase data, which caught the attention of the RB.RU correspondent.
The startup was founded in 2022 by former employees of DeepMind and Google Brain. Reka AI is a company that develops models that benefit humanity, organizations and businesses, according to the platform’s website.
Yasa’s first product is a multimodal AI “assistant” trained to understand images, videos, and tabular data in addition to text.
The company has not yet had time to receive the first income. Reka AI is now valued at $300 million, sources told Reuters.
- In 2022, Yuri Milner announced his withdrawal from Russian citizenship. In April, the businessman asked not to be considered a Russian businessman. The businessman left Russia in 2014 and has no assets in his territory. The DST Global funds have not raised capital from Russian investors since 2011.
