From Babylon, Dr. Jonathan Zeilinger gave four foods to avoid if you’re at risk of having a stroke.

Among them – processed meat, butter, cookies, fried foods. This is because such foods are high in saturated fats and trans fats, which cause fatty plaques to build up in the arteries.

Fat plaques also form with high blood pressure. And it’s associated with high salt intake (for example, from bacon or chips).

Finally, you are more likely to have a stroke if you consume too much sugar. For example, from soda. This is partly because large amounts of sugar are associated with weight gain and type 2 diabetes, both of which damage and inflame arteries.

News cannot be equated with a doctor’s prescription. Consult an expert before making a decision.
