The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to increase the maximum income of the self-employed to 4.8 million rubles a year. A copy of the corresponding bill is posted on the Telegram channel of Yaroslav Nilov, deputy head of the party faction in the State Duma.

It is planned to increase the maximum income of the self-employed to 4.8 million rubles.

The explanatory note states that self-employment now has the right to be used by persons whose income, which is taken into account when determining the tax base, does not exceed 2.4 million rubles per year.

Many self-employed people try to hide their income and enter the underground economy to maintain the right to apply a special tax regime. The authors of the initiative believe that their proposal will help increase the number of self-employed.

  • The number of self-employed has multiplied by six in the last two years. Basically, companies from the fields of media, advertising, education, IT and finance cooperate with them. Relocation has become one of the main growth drivers of the freelance market: relocators enter local markets and accept work from local clients. About 50% of the total number of freelancers in Russia work in the status of an individual.
