You access the Internet every day and you certainly know that Artificial Intelligence (AI) resources have grown since mid-2022… and a lot! Across the planet, a wide variety of publications have begun integrating these technologies into their operations, and full transparency is essential to maintaining a relationship of trust between readers and editorial teams.

That’s why we’ve decided to publish our policies on productive AI use in an open and candid way. And the first message we want to leave here is, TecMundo and Mega Curioso do not use generative artificial intelligence to create content to be published on their websites.. This goes for the entire team, from copywriters to editors to SEO experts. Anyway, below are some more details on each usage:

ChatGPT, Bard and other text generators

TecMundo can use these tools for comparison and analysis of functions, always focusing on the usage and transfer experience of these reports so that readers can make better decisions about which tool is most recommended at any given time.

In both TecMundo and Mega Curioso this will be clear in texts and images when productive tools are used.

We may also use services like ChatGPT to create internally shared summaries and bullet highlights that can be applied for sharing optimizations. However, we will always use full texts produced by human editors as a basis.

We don’t use ChatGPT or Bard to edit stories — for search optimization or content review. Services like this Not to be used as a research resource for articles and news.

Midjourney or Bing Image Creator

Until more clarity became available about integrations between generative AIs and image banks, we chose to use AI-made creations only where the image itself is the source of the story. For example: Avengers in the 90s: AI imagines alternative casting for movies.

That is: we will not use services like Midjourney to create descriptive images of articles or general material. We continue to use image banks and respect the usage policies of each.
