Tochka Marketplaces CEO Konstantin Kanivets compiled for RB.RU a list of ten slang words that experienced market sellers use in real life, and which you “will not find on the Internet”.
Top 10 Slang Words:
- “Drain” – the sale of goods at a low price or at a discount;
- “Listing” – a description of the product on the market;
- “Place” is a short contraction of the word market, often used in conversation;
- “Fly to autostock” – a situation when the balance of the product has become zero and it is no longer displayed in the catalog;
- “Dropship” – a business model when the seller sells the goods without having them in stock, but transfers the order to the supplier, who will directly deliver the goods to the buyer;
- “Eskayushka” – a unit of goods, SKU;
- “Self-redemption”: buy your own product in the markets to promote a product card in the search results;
- “Repricing” – automatic calculation of the recommended price for the product;
- “Mapping” – comparison of product categories and characteristics when transferring cards from one market to another;

“Topper” is a product highly appreciated and noted by buyers.
Earlier, a study by the Mercatus school showed that more than 65% of sellers of Russian markets entered these sites no more than six months ago. Another 20.5% are sellers with experience from six months to a year, 11.9% – with experience from one to two years.
