Russia’s largest recruitment service interviewed employers and made a list of the most sought-after IT specialties on the market. The survey was conducted from May 10 to June 2, 2023.
According to the survey results, developers (63% of respondents), system administrators (42%) and technical support specialists (31%) became the most in-demand personnel in the IT market. Slightly less popular were analysts (31%) and project managers (22%).
Employers named specialists in the field of game design and data scientists as the least in demand; the latter received less than 1% of the votes of those surveyed.
Among the important professional qualities of an IT specialist, employers most frequently cited knowledge of the technology stack (53%), work experience in the specialty (49%), and the presence of success stories (43%).
Over the past year, the number of companies ready to hire novice IT specialists has grown (from 16% to 35%) who have only completed online courses, the survey showed.
