Tourists arriving in St. Petersburg will be required to pay a resort fee of 100 rubles per day. The corresponding law will come into force on October 1, but the rates will start to be collected from April 1, 2024. You will have to pay for each day of accommodation in the hotel.
Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov signed the law on the introduction of the tourist tax. This was reported by the governor’s press service.

More than twenty categories of citizens (large families, veterans and others) will be exempted from fees, including those who have a permanent job and property in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg has more than 1.2 thousand accommodation units, the estimated budget income is estimated at 310 million rubles in the first year, said the representative of the Governor of St. Petersburg in the Legislative Assembly Konstantin Sukhenko.
Funds received from fees will go towards improving the resort’s infrastructure facilities.
