Google has achieved “quantum supremacy”. The Telegraph writes about this, citing a preliminary version of the company’s article.

Google’s quantum supercomputer was able to instantly solve a computational problem that would take 47 years for the most powerful Frontier supercomputer to date.

The publication clarifies that Google’s new supercomputer is 241 million more powerful than the previous one, which the company unveiled in 2019. Google’s first supercomputer had 53 qubits, an algorithm that an IBM supercomputer would have completed in 10,000 years, solved in less three minutes.
