TikTok became available this Thursday (6). TikTok Music, the new music streaming service. The Spotify rival feature is now available in Brazil and will be linked to the user account on the video platform. With him, You will be able to listen, download, listen in offline mode and share songs.

The app’s catalog is already debuting on leading record labels like Sony Music, Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group. With it, people will be able to listen to full versions of songs that went viral on TikTok.

Also recommendations will be personalized and it will be possible to import songs from other music libraries. There are similarities with competitors in the industry, such as real-time access to lyrics, creating playlists with friends, and tagging like Shazam.

“We are excited to launch TikTok Music, a new type of music service that combines TikTok’s discoverability with a cutting-edge music streaming service, in Brazil and Indonesia. “People will be able to enjoy their favorite viral songs on a dedicated streaming service thanks to seamless integration with TikTok,” said Ole Obermann, TikTok’s head of global music business development.

TikTok Music has also been launched in Indonesia. NOIn both countries, ByteDance will be ending Resso, the company’s former music streaming service, starting September 5.

The new music streaming has no free options like Spotify or Deezer, for example. In Brazil it will have three plans: individual, university and family. Prices range from R$8.50 to R$26.90 per month.

Interestingly, there is a price difference in Indonesia depending on the user’s device. Those with iOS will pay about 50 thousand Indonesian rupees, about 16 BRL. Those with Android have to pay 45,000 Indonesian rupees or 14.50 BRL, which increases to the same 16 BRL after the first year.
