Apple may raise the price of the iPhone 15 at launch. According to industry analysts, the new family of smartphones from the Cupertino company is expected to be released at the end of September and is more expensive than previous models.

According to Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong Intl Tech Research, the iPhone 15 Pro Max should be the model most affected, although he does not estimate a value. For comparison, the most expensive in the series, the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max, cost Brazil 15,500 BRL in 2021; that’s the same price as the same model iPhone 14 the following year.

In the United States, the base models iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 were both launched for $799. Meanwhile, premium versions sold for $1,600. The higher price of the next handset is likely to affect sales.

Even if, the number of mobile phones sold should increase, 84 million units are expected to be sold. That’s 9 million more than estimated for the iPhone 14.

But there is an explanation: Last year’s phone production was affected by the partial sale of the Foxconn factory. Normalized in August, the factory should start mass production of the iPhone 15.

Inside the iPhone 15

The iPhone 15 should reach users with LTPS OLED displays on the 6.1 and 6.7-inch base models. They will also have an A16 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a USB-C input.

Pro versions will feature a 120 Hz LTPO OLED display in the same dimensions and same type of connector. Inside, they will be more powerful with the A17 chip and 8 GB of RAM.
