The restrictions in force as of September 2022 will become indefinite. Russians are prohibited from entering Finland and obtaining visas.
The Finnish government said its goal is to ensure that the entry and transit of Russians does not harm the country’s international relations.
The Finnish consulate in Saint Petersburg will cease to function as of October 1.
On July 6, the Italian Visa Application Center in Moscow stopped accepting documents from residents of Russian regions who have temporary registration in Moscow.
