The feature has become available again thanks to a discovered way to circumvent Microsoft’s blocking, which previously banned the use of such software on its consoles.
Recall that earlier, in April 2023, the Redmond company blocked the use of UWP emulators, and many assumed that Nintendo was behind this decision.
Fortunately for Xbox fans, enthusiasts have discovered a new way to use emulators without having to put the console in developer mode.
Note that this method is unofficial. It allows you to bypass the lock and take advantage of the Xbox Series, but Microsoft itself is still against such interference.
In the meantime, retro fans can rejoice that the Xenia, Dolphin, XBSX and Retroarch emulators can be used once again. At the same time, judging by the tests, they work well on Xbox Series consoles.
