Tesla has begun to circumvent App Store rules by introducing a new subscription to its app.
The company is offering customers an optional Connectivity Packages for $9.99 per month. It gives you access to satellite navigation, a web browser on the dashboard, and camera output.
According to the rules of the App Store, if the features built into applications use the iPhone, developers must integrate the Cupertino payment system.
Tesla includes View Live Camera, which allows you to connect to the camera of an electric car with an iPhone package. Due to the automaker, App Store rules apply, as it is suggested to pay for the subscription directly with a credit card, and not through in-app purchases from the App Store.
Apple and Tesla are being reimbursed from commenting for now. But, perhaps, the company managed to agree. [9to5]
