The new platform has been scaled from 2U to 16u and is compatible with previous versions, as well as other equipment of the company, including ground stations and software. Sputnik production capacity allows you to produce 30 satellites of 16u per year.
Compared to past models, SG3 offers advanced opportunities for a load. Engineers developed the orientation and stabilization system, added support for atomic clocks and fiber -optic angular speed sensors on the board. The platform also received a high-speed communication channel in the S-BAND and a data processing unit with AI support for information analysis directly on board.
Sputnik CEO Vladislav Ivanenko said that the company’s experience was taken into consideration when creating SG3 – 90 satellites from 150 satellites are already working in orbit.
