The Japanese car manufacturer Isuzu left Russia

The official manufacturer and distributor of the Japanese brand Isuzu, Isuzu Rus JSC, announced on its website the closing of an agreement to sell a 100% stake in Sollers PJSC.

Isuzu suspended truck production at this facility in March 2022 due to logistical difficulties and an announced ban on exporting vehicle kits from Japan.

Sollers will reportedly supply spare parts for Isuzu trucks and cars under the sale agreement to fulfill its obligations to buyers.

The company will also restart the JSC Isuzu Rus assembly plant in Ulyanovsk.

The Isuzu brand has been officially represented on the Russian market since 2006. It offered vans, trucks and special equipment on the market. Starting in March 2022, it was planned to start selling the Mu-X SUV.
