After lengthy legal battles that began in January 2022, a judge in San Francisco ruled in Microsoft’s favor, rejecting the FTC’s attempt to block the deal.

The merger between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard means a lot to gamers around the world. According to Microsoft, the goal of this deal is to bring more games to more people on more devices.

Upon completion of the deal, Activision Blizzard games, including popular series such as Call of Duty and Diablo IV, will be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

However, the deal also raised concerns and controversy, as many feared limited competition and potential repercussions for the gaming industry.

Despite this, a federal court ruled in Microsoft’s favor, citing data and facts that support the benefits of the agreement to players and the industry as a whole.
