The Ministry of Digital Development announced the suspension of the issuance of grants for IT development until September 1, and the agency will also update the composition of the commissions. This is stated by the ministry’s telegram channel.

In addition, the Ministry of Digital Development will assess the skills of employees of the Russian Foundation for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT). It is planned to update the composition of specialists and bodies that make decisions on granting.

In addition, the department will examine those issued in 2022-2023. subsidies. If violations are found, it is planned to cancel them. As stated in the message, the department will work in such a way as to prevent the influence of ministry employees on grant decisions.

The verification commission will be headed by the Minister of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev. In the near future, all refusals to support certain projects will be studied. The Commission will also analyze the likelihood of a conflict of interest.

Last week, Moscow’s Basmanny Court placed Maxim Parshin, deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development, under house arrest. It is suspected that he accepted a bribe on an especially large scale – 3.5 million rubles.

On Monday, July 17, it was learned that the prosecution appealed the court’s decision. Earlier, the court rejected the investigation, which Parshin asked to conclude in a pre-trial detention center.
