How to turn off auto-tagging on Instagram

One of the many features of Instagram consists of mention and tag other users, contacts or profiles. This is very helpful for note from friends, family or followers. Avoid Mentions on Instagram

Avoid Tags on Instagram

Approve tags manually

One consequence of labeling is that photos and videos tagged by others They will appear on your Instagram profile. 1. Sign in again How others can interact with you
2. Click on tags and mentions
3. Now click on Approve tags manually
4. If you click on the corresponding button, manual approval will be activated
5. To confirm your choice, click on Activate
6. Below you will see if you have pending tags with numeric indicator

As the app itself explains, “you can manually add ‘starred posts’ to your profile or delete them permanently.” The change affects new tags, so “messages with previously tagged tags will not be affected.” And when you change your mind, press the button again Approve tags manually and it will ask you to confirm your choice by clicking on Deactivate.
