The New People faction proposed extending the conditions for IT companies to individual entrepreneurs. Individual entrepreneurs may receive tax and social benefits. The corresponding bill is scheduled to be submitted to the State Duma on July 20, Kommersant writes.
More than 422.6 thousand small and medium-sized companies currently work in the IT industry, of which 279.6 thousand are registered as individual entrepreneurs. At the same time, support measures are available only to legal entities working in this area and having obtained state accreditation. This state of affairs, according to the faction, does not respond to the principle of equality of business entities.
If the initiative is adopted, individual entrepreneurs will be able to receive a number of benefits that are available to accredited IT companies: a reduction in insurance premiums to 7.6%, the right to receive preferential loans at 3% per annum, the possibility of preferential mortgages for employees, postponement of the mobilization.
Industry representatives are skeptical of the idea, believing that it is easier to create an LLC than to change the Tax Code.
