In the next six months, Amazon will begin manufacturing satellites at a new facility in Washington. And that’s not all – the company has announced the construction of a satellite processing complex at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

In it, engineers will carefully prepare and load the Kuiper satellites into the launch mechanisms by placing them in the nose cones of the rockets. Fully integrated payloads will then travel to the launch pads at Cape Canaveral.

As part of the Kuiper project, half of the 3236 satellites are scheduled to be put into orbit by July 2026, which will require at least two launches per month.
