I watched season 2 of the series “Foundation”. Such a “Game of Thrones”

The Apple TV+ streaming service released two episodes of the second season of Foundation.

The project is based on the book cycle of the same name by Isaac Asimov. In honor of the occasion, Apple even launched an official podcast that covers all the storylines and secrets.

If the first season was divided into several patterns of storylines and turned out to be multi-level, then we expect an equally interesting approach from the continuation. We figure out if it was not in vain that Apple extended the project and would keep the attention on observation.

This is Game of Thrones, but in the future

What is the series about: in the distant future, people settled outside the Earth. However, the Galactic Empire threatens to collapse, according to the calculations of scientist Gary Seldon. And he creates the organization “Foundation”, authorized to restore human civilization after the coming upheavals.

The authors of the second season, in the same way as in the first, were considered in a broad plot of lines that are closely intertwined with each other. Like Isaac Asimov, there is no cohesive narrative that spans hundreds of years.

However, the series is very different from the book collection precisely in its simplification, although even now it can be quite easy to lose if you inattentively follow the observed history. This series is no longer about specific people and their lives, but about the improvement of society. About how the world is being transformed under the influence of external and external crises.

The main problem of mankind, connected with the coming dark times, continues here. Heroes can arise with problems, conflicts and crises that can destroy the worlds created by people.

Get ready for what’s to come the transition won’t be easy. Although the main story arcs were laid out for us in the first 10 episodes, in their development they still continue to develop and throw up all the new details. This is especially true of the fate of Seldon, the digital version of which was imprisoned in a cube in the first season.

The authors of the novelty continue to confuse the viewers by dividing the microplots into different series. And they are excellent at it. The main thing is that by such flirting they themselves are not lost in their own possession.

However, we will freeze still interesting to follow. The story is presented in portions, albeit with its own gaps. At the moment, it is impossible to evaluate the entire season, we will judge the purpose of the story closer to the finale, when all the cards begin to be revealed.

The script slowly puts the pieces of the puzzle together, successfully catching intricate intrigues and raising the stakes. So it was last season, so it should be now.

Visually, the show still looks great.

It seems that the creators of the second season decided to raise the stakes even more.

However, the season has yet to unfold for real. Yes, the picture is attractive, but the emergence of style we have already seen many times in other sci-fi works. However, I want to see now more scale than last season. Still, this is a film adaptation from Apple with the production of budgets.

If this is a movie about undercover investigations and the struggle for power, then the emperors want to get ahead of the closest analogue in the form of the Game of Thrones, then the author of the weapon should try. Fantastic cinema is surprisingly lacking in that same fantasy. Although space is developing, it still does not happen very often. But how it would be possible to roam with vulnerable worlds …

But the project is as relevant as ever. He raises many issues of our time from the first season. I’m currently running into more requested issues.

The second season of “Foundation” is still at the same level as the first. And if you didn’t like the first series, then it’s unlikely that something will be transplanted now.
