Leonid Dovladbegyan became the new general director of the MTS directorate for the development of “smart” devices and security “MTS Smart Home”, the company’s press service reported. According to Interfax with reference to SPARK, he replaced Alexei Davydov in this post.
Dovladbegyan, who was previously the chairman of the board of directors of OBI Russia and before that managed the online hypermarket Vprok.ru Perekrestok, will develop the direction. The senior manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, sale and support of services based on “smart” devices.
According to Dovladbegyan, the main focus will be on product services and their large-scale distribution on various channels.
In addition to X5 Group and OBI, Dovladbegyan worked in the management of the Nikamed company (ORTEKA retail brand).
In early summer, MTS increased its stake in smart home security service provider JSC Gulfstream Security Systems to 100%. The company purchased a 41.62% stake in Gulfstream and announced the completion of the reorganization of the Smart Home business.
