At the Vostochny cosmodrome, preparations began for the launch complex of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle for the launch of the first mission in Russian history to the Earth satellite Luna-25.
The joint team of space center experts will have to prepare and test all systems and assemblies before taking delivery of the rocket.
The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Fregat upper stage and the Luna-25 automatic station is scheduled for August 11, 2023. It is assumed that the automatic probe will explore the south pole region of the moon. “Luna-25” is planned to land not far from the Boguslavsky crater.
