Panasonic’s award-winning Toughbook rugged notebook lineup has been expanded with the Toughbook 40. Designed with input from U.S. federal agencies and intelligence agencies, the laptop is rugged yet lightweight at just 3.3kg on a 14-inch screen. It has a Secure Wipe function that allows you to format hard disk sets in a few seconds.

The Toughbook 40 complies with US Army MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461H high security ratings, IP66 civil ingress protection, a magnesium-based alloy chassis, and external ports with security latches. Lighting brightness is raised to 1200 nits for operation without external lighting, built-in speakers have a volume of 95 dB for operation in severe noise disturbance. The touchpad of the new version is designed for gloved hands or works under direct streams of rain.

The design of the ToughBook 40 consists of eight modes, packing and yakya, soldering, accumulating data, pats.
