The audience of the new Mark Zuckerberg social network on Android has plummeted five times from the peak values in July. The day after launch, Threads reached almost 50 million users, and a month after launch it only had 10.3 million. Threads has not yet been able to become a full-fledged competitor to X (formerly Twitter).
Threads’ daily active audience on the Android platform in August fell five times from the peak values in early July, when the social network launched. Les Echos writes about this, citing data from Similarweb.
On the day Threads launched on July 7, its audience reached 49.3 million users. A month after launch, this indicator collapsed by 79% to 10.3 million users. The amount of time people spend online has also decreased, from 14 minutes to 3 minutes per day.
The daily audience of X (formerly Twitter), for which Threads was conceived as a competitor, consistently exceeds 100 million users with an activity of approximately 25 minutes per day.
