“We need a large number of developers to maintain the high pace of development of the industry,” Shadayev said during a meeting with the president and members of the government.
He added that despite the ongoing staffing needs, the workforce base of the IT sector continues to grow. The number of employees in IT companies has increased by 13 percent in the last year, reaching approximately 740 thousand people.
The Minister also shared positive news about the development of the industry in Russia. Last year, sales of Russian IT solutions increased by 22%. These data indicate that the field in Russia is actively developing.
