The transfer process of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) under the trust management of VTB should be completed in the near future. This was told to journalists by Viktor Yevtukhov, deputy director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the timing of the transition of the United Shipbuilding Corporation under the control of VTB

“It will happen in just a few days, figuratively speaking. Now the process of legal paperwork is being completed so that everything is clearly verified, “TASS quotes Yevtukhov.

The official also pointed out that the bank has already started the audit of the USC. According to Yevtukhov, the corporation includes more than 40 companies, each of which must be reviewed in detail.

Then the performance indicators will be defined. The deputy director of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said that it was decided to set the key performance indicators of trust management in six months.

The vice minister added that the issues related to the state support of the USC will be resolved in a few months, at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024.

On August 10, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that VTB would receive into trust management a state stake in USC, which was federally owned, for five years.

Two weeks later, on August 23, Andrey Puchkov, vice-chairman of the VTB board of directors, left his post and took over as general director of USC. Two days later, the company announced Kostin’s choice as USC’s chairman of the board of trustees.
