The Progress MS-24 cargo spacecraft has successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS). The ship was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on 23 August on a Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket bearing symbols of Yekaterinburg’s 300th anniversary.
According to data provided by Roscosmos posted on YouTube, the docking of the Progress MS-24 to the Zvezda module of the Russian section of the ISS took place at 6.50 am Moscow time. This operation was carried out and controlled automatically by experts from the Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Russian cosmonauts on the ISS.
The cargo that Progress MS-24 delivered to the ISS included 2.5 thousand kilograms of materials: 500 kilograms of fuel, 420 kilograms of water, 40 kilograms of nitrogen, 1.5 thousand kilograms of medical supplies, food and clothing for astronauts, as well as various equipment and Vehicles. This ship will remain in orbit for 174 days.
