The MTS operator is considering the possibility of making individual offers to subscribers to pay for Internet distribution from smartphones. This was reported by the company to the TASS agency.
Complaints to the FAS became known last week that the operator began to charge 49 rubles a day for turning on an access point on a smartphone. Earlier, MTS noted that funds for such a service are charged only to subscribers with archival fees.
Now the company said that they are interacting with the service on the issue of paid distribution of the Internet. They noted that they had already met with representatives of the Federal Antimonopoly Service and were ready to propose new approaches on the rights of operators. In particular, the principles of formation of the cost of tariffs will be considered, taking into account the distribution of the Internet.
The company is also willing to make individual offers to subscribers within the existing rate line.
Beeline has been charging a fee for activating the hotspot since 2019. Some Tele2 users also reported that their operator is charging funds for distributing the Internet from smartphones.
