The Odnoklassniki social network is carrying out a large-scale update of the news, the press service reported. Until the end of the month it will appear in Android and iOS applications, as well as in desktop and mobile versions.

OK is changing the look of your Feed by removing unnecessary elements that prevent users from interacting with the content. The content itself will be placed a little higher. The services “Moments” and “Hobbies” will be combined in a common block, which will be located above the Tape. Users will be able to toggle between them, while OK will display one of the services by default based on their preferences.
A Recommendations tab will be placed next to the Feed and the content of the recommendations will also appear on the post and video screens when opened.
The OC expects recommendations to grow by 20-30% as a result of the changes, depending on topics, content formats, and other factors.
Algorithms
The social network is also changing the ranking algorithms in the feed. They will start to take more factors into account and retrain faster based on how the user interacts with the posts.
The company notes that the update will be the biggest in the last five years.
Previously, Odnoklassniki launched a support service for content creators. Bloggers will be able to ask questions in a separate chat and support is available 24 hours a day.
