According to the information provided by Mishaal Rahman, the new release date has been determined as October 4, the day on which Google plans to announce the Pixel 8 smartphone.

Such an unexpected transfer forced smartphone manufacturers to reconsider their plans. For example, OnePlus had already announced the release of OxygenOS 14 in September, but now the release may have to be delayed.

The delay itself may have to do with the final stages of development or combining the system’s launch with the upcoming announcement of the Pixel 8.

Note that this isn’t the first time Google has encountered problems with timely updates. The Pixel 6 series was already notorious for skipping monthly security updates even if they included important bug fixes.
