Experts from FEFU and Sberbank have developed a unique model that uses satellite images to identify incipient cyclones and diagnose their strength and orbit.

The new technology was created with the support of the state program “Priority 2030”.

Sberbank Deputy Chairman Maxim Eremenko emphasized the importance of high-quality monitoring of cyclones, especially for the countries of the Far East and the Asia-Pacific region. He expressed confidence that this system will help minimize the impact of hurricanes on people and infrastructure.

Note that this step is a continuation of the cooperation between Sber and FEFU, which jointly opened the Far East Artificial Intelligence Center in 2022.
