In 2012, a photo of Apple Store employee Sam Sung went viral on the Internet because his first and last name were similar to Samsung. In a new interview, Business Insider spoke about the state of Apple and why the decision was made to change the family.
When Sam’s business card went viral, Apple quickly responded. She did not fire him, but she forbade him from communicating with clients, issuing business cards, and a colleague asked not to mention his name in front of customers.
Sam retired from Apple in 2013 and auctioned off his visit for charity in 2014, raising $2,500 for Children’s Wish.
