Blackmagic, the powerful video editor DaVinci Resolve and professional cameras of the same name have released the Blackmagic Camera application for shooting video on the iPhone.

There are many manual settings available in the application. Users can change shutter speed, ISO, white balance, frame rates, switch between lenses, adjust focus, and measure histogram, peak concentration and level.

According to the company, the program’s interface was similar to Blackmagic’s own camera, and users felt like they were working with professional equipment.

Blackmagic Camera also supports vertical shooting of horizontal videos with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Footage can be uploaded to an external SSD, stored on your device, or uploaded to the Blackmagic Cloud for immediate access to DaVinci Resolve.

Blackmagic Camera is a completely free app with no hidden purchases. Some features are only available on iPhone Pro due to hardware locks. [9to5Mac]
