Finland intends to join the Baltic countries in deciding not to allow cars with Russian license plates to enter its territory, Yle reports. Previously, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia had restrictions on cars coming from the Russian Federation.
According to the publication, the Minister of the Interior of the Scandinavian country, Elina Valtonen, will make the corresponding statement on September 15.
According to Yle, we are talking about cars with Russian state brands, which are intended to transport no more than ten people. There may be some exceptions, which will be announced later.
The European Union modified restrictions for Russians on September 10; Russian citizens are prohibited from transporting cars and personal items such as smartphones and laptops to the EU.
After this, Lithuania warned that it would confiscate cars with Russian state brands at the border. Latvia and Estonia also decided to ban.
