VEON signed an agreement to sell VimpelCom to its top executives in Russia in November 2022. Under the terms of the agreement, the holding will receive 130 billion rubles from the sale.
VimpelCom general director Alexander Torbakhov, in a conversation with RBC, noted that the additional agreement to the previously signed agreement is only of a technical nature. According to him, all the formalities required for the sale will be completed in October.
VEON unites telecom operators in Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Georgia.
