Ozon marketplace has launched online car sales on its site. Currently, the service is available in Moscow and the Moscow region. The company promises that the list of cities will grow over time.
So far, only cars from Delivery Car LLC, an online distributor of the Chinese brand Chery, are available on the market, Vedomosti learned.
“Only exceptional people are willing to buy cars online,” say the sellers. Ozon does not plan to grant loans for the purchase of cars through his bank.
Three years ago, the retailer already tried to launch the “Cars” category on the platform, but then the buyer could only reserve one car on the marketplace and had to pay for the purchase at the dealership in the showroom. Now the entire process is done online and the sales contract is signed at the time of delivery.
